My experience of closing a deal with Egyptian customer Omar

First Meeting
Omar and I met in November 2020, after adding each other on WeChat. Initially, he simply requested quotes for basic hardware products. He quoted me prices, but didn't respond much. He would always send me products for quotes, but once we discussed placing an order, nothing happened. This relationship lasted for over two years. I would occasionally send him promotional videos and product videos of our Tosen, but he didn't respond much. It wasn't until the second half of 2022 that he began interacting with me more and more, inquiring about more products, and becoming willing to share more about his business.

He told me he had a warehouse and had been sourcing products from Yiwu. He explained that he had been in the hardware sales industry for over a decade, having previously worked for his brother before striking out on his own and launching his own brand under his own name. However, for various reasons, his brand didn't take off. He told me that the Egyptian market was highly competitive, with price wars constantly raging. He knew he wouldn't be able to survive if he continued with this model. He couldn't compete with large wholesalers, and his brand wouldn't be well-known, making sales difficult. That's why he wanted to leverage China's strengths to expand his business in Egypt, and so he considered becoming a brand agent. In early 2023, he began discussing the TALLSEN brand with me. He said he'd been following us on my WeChat Moments and on TALLSEN's Facebook and Instagram accounts, and thought we were a great brand, so he wanted to become a TALLSEN agent. When discussing our prices, he'd been very concerned and felt they were too expensive. However, after discussing TALLSEN's development direction, brand value, and the support we could provide, he became more receptive to our prices, no longer swayed by them. He reaffirmed his decision to partner with TALLSEN.

In 2023, we became strategic partners with our client.
It was precisely because of this trust, and the hope TALLSEN offered him, that the client chose to work with us in 2023, becoming our strategic partner. In February of that year, he placed his first order, officially beginning our collaboration. In October, during the Canton Fair, he flew from Egypt to China to meet us. It was our first time meeting, and we felt like old friends, sharing endless conversation along the way. He discussed his own aspirations and his appreciation for TALLSEN, expressing his deep appreciation for the opportunity to work with us. This meeting further solidified the client's decision to dedicate one of his new, over 50-square-meter stores to selling TALLSEN. Based on the floor plan sketches provided by the client, our designers created the entire store design, to his great satisfaction. After approximately six months, the client had completed the renovations, becoming the first local TALLSEN store in Egypt.

In 2024, we became an agency partner.
In 2024, we signed the agency contract, officially appointing the client as our agent. We also provide local market protection in Egypt, giving customers greater confidence in promoting TALLSEN. Trust is what allows us to work together as a team.
